The proposed Port is located west of Cape Hardy on the east coast of the Eyre Peninsula, South Australia, approximately 70 km north of Port
Ports, offshore facilities, pipeline construction and drilling can result in underwater noise generation which may have an adverse impact on marine fauna resulting in hearing damage, injury or even death.
During his time at the Defence Science and Technology Organisation (DSTO), Director Chris Turnbull worked in the field of underwater acoustics, conducting detailed underwater acoustic predictions and sea trials involving underwater sound measurements. Whilst at the DSTO, Chris also completed a Master of Engineering Science Degree relating to underwater acoustic sensors.
